Now that Christmas has passed, it’s time to think about the next holiday. Get ready for the New Year with some riding goals as resolutions..
Try to practice ride at least once per week. Practice makes perfect, especially when it comes to riding. To keep up with your goals this new year, keep yourself accountable by having an accountability partner. A great person to keep you accountable is your trainer - have her keep track of your riding schedule to make sure that you are getting enough practice time.
Get into a workout routine that will help your riding. Horseback riding uses a lot of muscles, so supplementing workouts at the gym is a great option. If you workout, you will quickly notice that the quality of your ride improves.
Riding and showing horses can be expensive, so make sure that in the New Year you plan your budget accordingly. Maybe skip out on some of the smaller shows to save up for some bigger ones. Budgeting is a great way to plan out the new year.
This week, take some time for yourself to reflect on your goals for the upcoming year - what do you want to change about yourself or your life? The time is now - take matters into your own hands and change your life for the better. You’ve got this!
