We would like to wish Jennifer Wilson and her twin geldings, Majus ZF and Majician ZF for beating out a very competitive field of submissions for this years Issue 1 cover!
Majus ZF and Majician ZF are twin geldings sired by Majd Al Rabi out of PA A-Magic moment. These sneaky boys displayed as a single embryo and shocked their breeders, Mark and Jennifer Wilson of Zenith Farms, when they arrived June 18th, 2015. They quickly became known as The BOGO Colts (for Buy One, Get One). Although they were born remarkably healthy, they mysteriously contracted a salmonella-like bacterium by three days old and were rushed to Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center. Under the expert care of Dr. Linton, the miraculous boys rallied and returned home to Delaware nearly two weeks later. Through their Facebook page, the twins reached horse lovers from all over the world and introduced many people to the Arabian Horse. They currently have over 12,000 followers on FB. Although the tiny colts weighed in at just around 60 lbs each at birth, they are maturing into fairly normal-sized horses, with Majus just shy of 15 hands at 2 years of age. Majus was East Coast champion SHIH colt and Top 5 sweepstakes colt as a yearling. Inspired by a suggestion from a fan, Jennifer decided to write both a memoir and a fictional teen’s series based on the colts. She is currently seeking publication for the manuscripts and has self-published a line of coloring books based on their photos. The Wilsons look forward to seeing the twins under saddle in the next year or two and hope their incredible story will renew a passion for the Arabian Horse for generations to come.
We would also like to extend a very heartfelt thank you for all of our dedicated members who submitted photos. It was evident looking through them that the love and dedication for the Arabian horse is live and well! Enjoy a gallery of just a few of the wonderful submissions received and our cover twins!
